Savoye has successfully completed the installation of a stand alone order preparation system for Bookpoint Ltd at its Abingdon facility.
Incorporating Savoyes PAC600 packaging technology and conveyors, Savoye have provided a flexible solution worth in excess of 500,000 to enable Bookpoint to service a recently acquired major contract without impacting on their existing client base. Working to a challenging time line, Savoye were able to complete the installation on time, ready to go live in 2008.
The PAC600 packaging technology offers Bookpoint a complete solution in automated carton erection, product security and sealing, whilst allowing orders to be picked directly into the dispatch carton. Combined with Savoye conveyors, zone picking and automated label applicators, this offers Bookpoint the greatest amount of flexibility for now and the future, whilst benefiting from automation.
