Featuring the pre-event innovation tour at the Airbus plant in Toulouse!

Airbus are officially opening the doors to their fantastic Toulouse facility as part of the European PLM summit, taking place from 23rd 25th June 2008. This gives you the unique opportunity to learn and experience first hand how the latest product design, development and production technologies combine to help maximise the output of the worlds leading aircraft manufacturer for the new Airbus A380.

The tour takes place from 1PM on the 23rd June and you will be able to:

  • Hear a presentation of the full A380 programme and gain a deeper insight into some of the key factors considered during the development of the new aircraft
  • Take a bus around the outside of the main building, giving a true understanding of the scale of the operation and an appreciation of the site layout and design
  • Get a real time view of some of the key dynamics in the A380 testing process and see how every new carrier is put through its paces
  • See how the new A380 comes together, the importance of Joined-up design in manufacturing excellence and how the assembly line is optimised to maximise carrier output

Following this chance to see PLM in action, there will be a two day gathering of industry professionals at the European PLM Summit 2008, made up of keynote conference sessions and interactive workshops run by leading solution providers covering the length and breadth of the PLM spectrum. A dynamic one-to-one meetings model will also allow you to meet other attendees face to face to discuss how this business strategy can enhance your design, delivery and development of new products throughout the whole lifecycle.
