INFORM, a leading German logistics optimisation software provider, will be exhibiting at Softworld Supply Chain & Logistics (Birmingham NEC, 12-13 March) for the first time, in addition to presenting a seminar titled Getting stock levels right on both days of the event.
INFORM, whose headquarters are in Aachen in Germany. has been applying operational research techniques to logistics processes for more than 20 years with standard off-the shelf software. A few months ago, the company also established a UK office, already having secured several significant clients in the UK; including British Airways, Bosch power tools, Rolls Royce, SFS Intec, Lafarge, Worcester Bosch, BAA Heathrow and BAA Ringway Manchester.
Cathy Humphreys (pictured), INFORMs UK business development manager, commented that the company is now set to grow its reference base in the UK for its bolt-on materials management solutions; add*ONE Inventory Optimizer and add*ONE Demand Planner. The add*ONE solutions have already helped hundreds of international companies improve material planning efficiency, significantly improve service levels and reduce inventory levels by up to 40%.
