Infor has announced that Ruch AG, a leading Swiss manufacturer of wire and metal goods for the building and construction industry, will deploy Infor ERP COM, in order to dramatically improve the companys manufacturing cycle times.

Infor ERP COM enables fast and secure transactions along the entire value chain, including sales, service, warehouse management, production planning and execution, dispatching and procurement.

Working with Infor ERP COM, Ruch will now benefit from seamlessly integrated business processes including the accessibility of previously isolated planning systems, helping the company to significantly shorten their overall manufacturing cycle times. Ruch relies on the comprehensive business-specific functionality of Infor ERP COM to address processes such as service assignment planning, version management, service inventory as well as supplier ratings, demand planning, orders following a master agreement and progress control.

In particular, Ruch chose Infor ERP COM for its enhanced functionality handling product variants and configuration. It offers maximum flexibility in the production process, which was one of the companys key requirements. As product characteristics are entered via Infor ERP COMs user interface, the solution initiates the necessary resource allocation process across all business departments, speeding up the entire manufacturing cycle.

Ruchs legacy system was a time-consuming and potentially error-prone process of transferring data manually within the supply chain. The solution failed to meet the companys increasing requirements in terms of essential analysis capabilities and did not support of some of Ruchs business-critical processes.

Infor ERP COM also includes a role-based graphical user interface and highly productive financial applications, helping Ruch to maximise return on investment while maintaining its goal of lowering total cost of ownership.

Infor ERP COM is our preferred choice as it offers built in comprehensive capabilities for handling product variants, said Irene Agola, Project Manager at Ruch. That saved us from time and cost-intensive customisation.

Enterprises look for solutions that deliver business-specific functionality, enabling them to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership possible, underlined Hermann Stehlik, Vice President Marketing EMEA. Ruch is an excellent example of how Infor successfully meets this demand.

Infor ERP COM is an ERP solution that brings together a wide variety of business functions in a scalable, multi-language, open systems platform for manufacturers of discrete products. Based on Infors solid domain expertise in manufacturing, Infor ERP COM is a leading solution for manufacturers in automotive, metal and plastic fabrication, electronics, and industrial equipment and machinery.
