Infor receives honour for highest quality standard from Hyderabad Software Exports Association

Infor has announced that its facility in Hyderabad, India has been recognised by the Hyderabad Software Exports Association (HYSEA) for the Highest Quality Standard CMMI Level 5 award. Presented by Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, honourable chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, the award acknowledges Infor for the highest quality in process standardisation throughout the local development organisation, a plan which was executed over 18 months.

 Infor is committed to the highest standards of quality across all areas of software development and maintenance, and we are honoured for the recognition of that fact by HYSEA, said Ranga Pothula, vice president of Hyderabad development, Infor.  This is a significant award for us from one of the regions most respected professional associations.

Each year, HYSEA awards IT and ITeS companies in Hyderabad with honours in several categories including E-governance, Best Company, Outstanding Social Service, Best Exporter, and Best Offshore Centre. Companies are reviewed every year and selected by a judging panel from reputed international consultants such as Ernst & Young. Infors development centre in India has been selected for the successful appraisal and implementation of CMMI Level 5. The development centre continues its focus on adherence and continuous improvements to the software development life cycle processes to meet the objectives of on-time delivery and quality of products and services.

Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is a process improvement approach developed by the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI), which provides organisations with the essential elements for effective processes. It can be used to guide process improvement across a project, a division, or an entire organisation. CMMI helps companies integrate traditionally separate organisational functions, set process improvement goals and priorities, provide guidance for quality processes, and provide a point of reference for appraising current processes. Level 5 is the highest level of quality standards attainable.
