Infor has announced that its facility in Hyderabad, India has been recognised by the Hyderabad Software Exports Association (HYSEA) for the Highest Quality Standard CMMI Level 5 award. Presented by Dr. Y.S. This is a significant award for us from one of the regions most respected professional associations.
Each year, HYSEA awards IT and ITeS companies in Hyderabad with honours in several categories including E-governance, Best Company, Outstanding Social Service, Best Exporter, and Best Offshore Centre. Companies are reviewed every year and selected by a judging panel from reputed international consultants such as Ernst & Young. Infors development centre in India has been selected for the successful appraisal and implementation of CMMI Level 5. The development centre continues its focus on adherence and continuous improvements to the software development life cycle processes to meet the objectives of on-time delivery and quality of products and services.
Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is a process improvement approach developed by the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI), which provides organisations with the essential elements for effective processes. It can be used to guide process improvement across a project, a division, or an entire organisation. CMMI helps companies integrate traditionally separate organisational functions, set process improvement goals and priorities, provide guidance for quality processes, and provide a point of reference for appraising current processes. Level 5 is the highest level of quality standards attainable.
The Hyderabad Software Exporters Association (HYSEA) is a registered apex body representing the IT & ITeS in Andhra Pradesh, India, under the Andhra Pradesh Public Societies Registration Act. HYSEA aims to promote co-operation and good business practices among the member software companies by representing and resolving issues and problems affecting the business interests of the member companies.
