Vocollect, Inc., a world leader in Voice-Directed Work, has announced that its Vocollect Voice successfully achieved SymbolPLUS validation through completing Motorola's Solution Validation Program that includes joint testing at the Motorola Solution Centre located in Holtsville, New York.

Vocollect Voice on Motorola's MC9090 rugged mobile computers and Motorola WT4000 series of wearable computer were granted the SymbolPLUS ValidatedT Software logo.  This designation will help assure customers and partners of system interoperability between Motorola devices and Vocollect applications.

As the usage of wearable and handheld computers continues to proliferate across the global supply chain, companies implementing voice are looking for a broader range of platforms to achieve maximum flexibility and choice. With Vocollect Voice offered on these Motorola devices, workers can learn one device instead of many, simplifying training and helping companies extend the value of their technology assets.  These benefits are augmented through Vocollect's open source architecture platform that delivers additional process improvements for both Operations and Information Technology (IT).

"In our 20 years of business, Vocollect has worked with leading integrators and software providers to deploy thousands of voice implementations worldwide. From that experience, we've learned the importance of giving end users a choice of hardware and software options to work best with their information architecture," said Jack LeVan, Vocollect chief executive officer.  "Offering Vocollect Voice applications on a wide range of platforms allows companies to take advantage of the business value of voice, delivered with the proven performance and reliability they expect from Vocollect."

Motorola's Solutions Validation Program enables partners to test and validate their mobility solutions on Motorola products to help ensure interoperability and meet the customer application-specific needs, as well as reduce both the risk level and the time to deployment for the customer. Working closely with engineering teams, Vocollect Voice has been tested and co-validated on select products, including the Motorola MC9090 rugged mobile computer and Motorola WT4000 series of wearable computers. The terms of the validation, including disclaimers, are set forth in the test agreement between Motorola and Vocollect and the Mobility Validated Solution Validation Report.
