Paxar, a leading provider of fully integrated labelling, merchandising and identification solutions, has announced a strategic alliance it has formed with Toyota Tsusho ID Systems GmbH, the official trading house of Denso handheld terminals and scanners throughout Europe.

A member of the Toyota Group, Denso is one of the world's leading specialists in mobile data acquisition solutions. Products designed and manufactured include quality industrial scanning devices, hand-held scanners and mobile terminals with CCD technology.

Paxar and Denso had been initially working together in the US and Australia on various projects, and with mutual customers here in the UK and Europe it was decided that an alliance would benefit both companies.

Paxar and Denso are well known for their reliability and this alliance will further increase their awareness in the market. Denso's high-quality product range is complementary to Paxar's printers therefore it made sense for the two companies to sell both products through Paxar's direct sales force, offering customers a complete solution.

Max Tatford, Marketing Manager at Paxar, commented: "We're delighted to be working together with Denso. This alliance will be extremely beneficial to our customers as it strengthens what Paxar can offer to current and potential customers. Bringing together both companies expertise in the market will also allow us to develop innovative new solutions with an increased understanding of our customers needs and we hope to launch a joint product as early as Summer 2007.

The compatibility of Denso's terminals with Paxar's printers opens new possibilities to the customer. We are enthusiastic about the business opportunities arising from this strategic alliance and believe that our joint initiative fulfils a market requirement that offers extensive and reliable solutions, adds Udo Neukirchen, Head of Distribution EMEA.
