New Time & Attendance System to Manage 550 Employees across two UK Sites

Crown Computing has signed a contract with Vitacress Salads Ltd to implement a new time and attendance system to manage 550 employees across two UK sites in an initial roll out.

The system will be used in the inspection and packaging facilities in the UK - at St Mary Bourne, Hampshire and at its despatch centre at Amesbury, Wiltshire. The system is expandable for use across Vitacress' other business areas including its farms both in the UK and abroad.

"The requirement was to adopt a solution which is capable of interfacing with existing payroll, financial and operational data to deliver up to date activity and labour costs for the business at departmental levels, said Tony Alcock HR Manager, Vitacress Salads Ltd.

"The new Crown Computing system will allow us to enhance manufacturing effectiveness by empowering managers to maximise labour efficiency, reduce the time it takes to perform the T&A reconciliation for payroll and give them better management information to manage the workforce.

"Further, the system will allow the company to better understand and manage absenteeism - and across both sites, over many shift patterns, 24/7, 365 days of the year."

Mike Hawkesford, MD, Crown Computing comments, "The new system will incorporate activity management via shop floor data tracking and will provide labour costing and information to support the monitoring of key performance indicators within the Vitacress business.

"Along with the integration of the T&A system to existing back office payroll and finance systems, we are providing Vitacress with a seamless resource management unit."

The implementation will begin in Q2 2007 with the initial roll out scheduled for Q3/Q4 2007.
