Infor ERP COM to enjoy over 50 customer-prioritised enhancements

Customers in industrial equipment and machinery manufacturing and the high tech and electronics industry will benefit from a make-or-buy assistant, including calculations schemas to support the decision-making process.

Among the new features of Infor ERP COM will be support for Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) and overall extended communication features to send documents in several ways to the customer. New Dashboard screens will support process visibility and show important key performance indicators (KPIs). The purchasing module and the packaging material handling will be significantly enhanced.

Additional modules are planned to extend the Infor Warehouse Management Provia solution, including among many other features support for mobile and radio frequency devices, container handling in the warehouse and replenishment functionality.

Our market research indicates that customers, especially mid-market companies, are demanding solutions that deliver both high industry functionality and lower total cost of ownership, Markus Stahl, Infors manager of industry and product marketing. We are meeting this marketplace demand in a way that protects our customers current investments and positions them to evolve their IT infrastructure over time.

The Infor Customer-First Product Strategy offers customers an evolutionary development path for enhancing their enterprise applications rather than revolutionary change that requires more costly investments in such areas as employee education and hardware. Infors Open SOA (service-oriented architecture) is a key initiative in the companys strategy to enable customers to cost-effectively evolve their business systems when and how it is most beneficial to them.
