Software eliminates the need for specialist knowledge

RedPrairie, a world leading consumer driven optimisation company, announces the release of DLx DutyManagement 2007.1 in March, enabling businesses to reduce and delay tax payments in line with the latest HM Revenue & Customs regulations.

The new release supports the entry of invoices, certificates and licenses prior to the receipt of goods, allowing goods to be available immediately upon receipt. For the first time, it also enables companies that assemble and manufacture from imported components to take advantage of regulations that can reduce or eliminate customs duty payments, delivering permanently higher profit margins and improved cash flow.

Martin Hiscox, President & Managing Director International of RedPrairie, said, Most companies engaged in importing or exporting could reduce their customs and excise payments, but the majority fail to do so because of the complexity of HMRC regulations. DLx DutyManagement removes this obstacle and our customers are now saving millions of pounds every month. Our free, half-day seminars provide the information you need to take action.

DLx DutyManagement releases expected later in 2007 will further reduce the cost of HMRC compliance and increase user productivity. The ability to repack products under bond will enable duty to be paid even later. RFID will improve shipment efficiency and security. And expanded browser-based capabilities will give companies and their customers greater visibility of information.

Support for SAD Harmonisation, Authorised Economic Operators (AEO), Single Access Point and the Modernised Customs Code will follow as each of these initiatives comes into effect, providing new opportunities to reduce and delay tax payments for the businesses that are ready.
