IBS UK has announced the immediate availability of its Advanced Project Management (APM) module. IBS recognises that successfully managing projects is critical to the running of a make-to-order business. This new Advanced Project Management module allows IBS customers to keep projects on track and within budget, key factors in ensuring the projects overall success.

APM is a graphical tool that integrates seamlessly with the IBS Enterprise 6 ERP system to deliver a complete solution for Enterprise Service Automation (ESA). This comprehensive, easy to use project management system provides accuracy, visibility and control through all project stages, allowing companies to make timely, business-critical decisions for their supply chain management processes.

IBS APM allows companies to know precisely what skills are available and enables control over the whole project portfolio. It ensures the right resources are available at the right time to maximise efficiency and reduce project delivery costs. It provides companies with the capability to more accurately plan, forecast, sell, deliver, account and analyse the complete operations of a project-driven organisation.

Simon Shorthose (pictured), IBS UKs Managing Director, comments, Standalone software packages cant always deliver what is really needed for effective project management. They lack proper integration with the core ERP system and they are disconnected from actual processes on the factory floor, in the warehouse or in the accounting department. IBS Advanced Project Management solution is designed to avoid these pitfalls by being fully integrated with other IBS Enterprise modules that manage the supply chain.

He continues, Most project managers would contend that key to the success of many business process projects is superior planning. IBS has always delivered a leading project management methodology to ensure rapid and cost-effective implementation and the availability of Advanced Project Management extends this capability even further. APM focuses on what is happening and what will happen in the future, not just what has happened. This increased level of information and control helps project managers to deliver finished projects faster, with lower inventory requirements and more effective resource utilisation.

IBS APM provides a comprehensive, visual software management tool covering project preparation and planning of all activities right through to final integration and analysis. It incorporates resources planning for people and equipment and covers all time and expenses recording. It makes all this information available in a clear graphical interface, providing complete visibility of all aspects of the project and total control over existing and forecasted budget requirements.

IBS Advanced Project Management is available immediately from IBS UK for existing IBS Enterprise customers.
