Kloehn Company Cuts Lead Times, Quickly Identifies Quality Issues with Increased Visibility Provided by Infor Solution
Infor, one of the largest global providers of enterprise software, today announced that Kloehn Company, a producer of fluidic components and assemblies for biomedical manufacturers, has selected Infor ERP Visual Enterprise and Visual Quality to improve the efficiency of its manufacturing process.
Kloehn custom designs and manufactures components and assemblies for an array of instruments used in the clinical, diagnostic, medical, analytical and industrial markets. The companys success and rapid growth with top tier pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies outpaced the capabilities of its legacy ERP system. The company required improved business intelligence, quality and scheduling power to resolve problems with meeting delivery dates that were constantly changing and becoming unpredictable.
Kloehn chose Infor after a detailed examination of solutions available from a number of software providers. Infor ERP Visual Enterprise and Visual Quality was the only fully integrated solution that included material resource planning, quality system management, document control, engineering project management and customer management capabilities.
The management dash boards superior visibility, cradle-to-grave traceability of materials management, quality integration for faster identification of problems and engineering project management tools all were the key factors in our review, said Kloehn Company quality manager Leo Guillotte.
After learning about Infors capabilities, the Kloehn team scheduled a visit to the facility of an existing user. They clearly demonstrated the functionality of the material handling, manufacturing management and quality systems of Infors ERP Visual Enterprise, Guillotte reported.
Kloehn expects its new Infor solution to cut lead times in half and improve on-time deliveries by fifty percent within eight months. We plan to leverage the software to its fullest potential, said Guillotte, and we look forward to realizing all of the benefits Infors solution has to offer.
