Uniland, the 4th largest daily goods retailer in Russia, has reduced store stocks by 20% and store out-of-stocks by 15%, following the implementation of the G.O.L.D. supply chain management system from global retail solutions provider Aldata, in its Urals stores in March 2006.

G.O.L.D. was our choice as it has been developed for retailers. It is used by leading global retailers and has profited from the inclusion of global best practices. The implementation of Aldata G.O.L.D. has permitted Uniland to increase the quality of stock management operations with the overall result of increasing our operational network efficiency, said Mr. Vitaly Klyuchnikov, North-West Division General Director and Vice President of Uniland.

Aldata and ZAO Uniland Holding Company signed a framework agreement in 2004 for the supply of Aldata G.O.L.D. Supply Chain Management system throughout the Russian Federation. The implementation project for Unilands Urals operations started in July 2005. The applications currently in use are G.O.L.D. Central and G.O.L.D. Shop, both modules within the Aldata G.O.L.D. software suite.

Klyuchnikov added, Uniland and Aldata professionals jointly localised the software in the shortest time possible in order to respect Russian business and legislative requirements. For the pilot system, minimal changes were necessary for existing system and business processes and retail best practices were adopted as part of the integration.

Mr. Mark Croxton, Managing Director of Adata Solution UK Ltd. Commented, The Aldata G.O.L.D. software suite is both integrated and modular allowing for flexibility of implementation. Aldatas implementation methodology allows fast, low-risk and cost-effective implementation by leveraging the skills Uniland already has and introducing a experienced consultants at the appropriate time. Retailers around the world have recognized Aldatas leadership in supply chain management and are using our solutions to differentiate and compete.
