Shopfloor networking and hardware specialist, DLoG (UK) Ltd  has introduced the latest version of its rugged vehicle mount PC.

Suitable for both internal and outside use, the RoHS-compliant MPC6 can be used as a vehicle mount terminal on forklifts, commissioning vehicles, construction machinery and trucks, or statically mounted on machine tools.

Combining high performance and wireless networking with rugged construction to IP65 standards, an integral heater allows safe and reliable operation even in extreme temperatures, from outside operation in hot weather down to -30C deep freeze environments. Available with 10 or 12-inch touch screens and a 12-inch stainless steel version for mounting in control cabinets and user consoles, the compact (22.9 x 28cm) MPC6 features a new XTX board with Intel chip set and Intel Celeron CPU, a Compact Flash card slot which is accessible from the top of the unit, and a 20Gb 5M2 shock/vibration tested hard disk.

Featuring WLAN connection, CompactFlash, PCI or PCI Express MiniCard, UPS battery and automatic cut-off, the MPC6 is an ideal terminal to use in mobile applications.

The resistive touch screen and high resolution allow easy handling and visualisation even when the operator is wearing gloves and working in below zero temperatures; a range of mounting options ensure the optimum ergonomic siting for all applications.
