SDIGreenstone, a leading provider of distribution centre sortation systems, today announced that it has established a partnership with Belgravium, a manufacturer of rugged mobile communications devices.

SDIGreenstone can now offer its retail and wholesale customers a complete radio frequency communications solution, based on Belgraviums high quality terminals, to streamline sortation, fulfilment and distribution operations in warehouses and distribution centres.

SDI and Belgraviums combined RF-enabled roll-cage tracking solution is intended to greatly improve customer satisfaction and profitability through enhanced accuracy and efficiency. The first implementation of the joint solution is for the BHS distribution centre at Atherstone, which is managed by DHL Exel Supply Chain.

Belgraviums rugged hand-held and truck-mounted RF terminals present warehouse operatives with real-time instructions and duties, directly from SDIGreenstones supply chain sortation and tracking system.

RF-enabled roll-cage tracking is a critical component in the constant quest for improved accuracy and productivity in the BHS warehouse. Our sortation and tracking systems are proven to yield huge savings and increase profitability, says Dave Horne, Head of Software Development for SDIGreenstone. SDI is committed to offering the very latest in functionality and technology to enable clients to gain real competitive advantage, and as a leading provider of high-quality RF hardware, Belgravium is a key partner in helping to drive our own business forward. We are currently examining the possibility of incorporating the Belgravium high speed pick-by-light system into our core product range.

Mike Turner, Marketing Manager for Belgravium, adds, Belgravium has a long-established track record of partnering with best-of-breed solution providers and we see SDIGreenstone as a company that knows what it takes to deliver quality solutions within the warehouse framework.
