Vocollect Announces 10,000th UK User of Its Talkman

Palmer & Harvey McLane Ltd is the 10,000th user to enable Vocollect's Voice-Directed Distribution

Vocollect, Inc., the world leader in voice-directed work, today announced that it has now reached 10,000 users in the UK with the signing of its latest customer, Palmer & Harvey McLane Limited (P&H), the leading delivered grocery wholesaler to  the independent and multiple retail trade. Vocollect's partner VoiteQ, the leading supplier of voice recognition solutions, is supplying P&H with around 240 Talkman T2x wearable computers. These will be deployed for voice picking across ten of P&H's delivery centres nationwide including its ambient, chilled and frozen chambers.

Since pioneering voice recognition for industry in 1987, Vocollect has experienced continued growth. Today, more than 100,000 users across 22 countries use Vocollect's voice-recognition technology to process billions of transactions every day. Its UK customers include Asda, Focus DIY, Dixons and WHSmith's, all of which rely on Vocollect Voice Systems to help them streamline operations, boost productivity, improve accuracy and lower operating costs.

Vocollect's Voice-Directed Distribution, utilises advanced speech recognition technology to enable a two-way dialogue between a company's warehouse management system (WMS) and its distribution workers and cover the whole range of warehouse activities from goods in to goods out, including;
goods receiving, forklift truck movements, order picking, pick face replenishments, stock taking and perpetual inventory management. Vocollect's world standard Talkman terminals are deployed across a broad range of industries from grocery and retail, to pharmaceutical and third party logistics.

Vocollect's Voice Systems are sold by its global reseller network, the technology has been designed so it can be seamlessly integrated with leading WMS partners, material handling systems, integration firms and selected voice specialist value added reseller companies.
