Christian Books and Gifts Distributor Chooses mySAP All-in-One from Sapphire

Sapphire to supply and implement mySAP All-in-One at Send The Light

Sapphire Systems recently announced that it is to supply and implement the mySAP All-in-One Financial and Business Management solution at Send The Light, a leading Christian books and gifts distributor.

STL is Europe's leading supplier of English language Christian products with over 30,000 titles from 200 Publishers and, in the US, is the biggest Christian organisation supplying Christian books to the wholesale market. The company has grown significantly in recent years through acquisition, and has a legacy of 3 separate systems that do not integrate or communicate with each other. STL wanted to unify all their operations through one single, integrated system suitable for a global enterprise and with the ability to accommodate further growth.

Dave Mells, Head of IT, and his team at STL looked at several potential systems, culminating in a shortlist of just 2: Microsoft Navision and mySAP All-in-One.  They had a broad requirement for the solution, and found that mySAP All-in-One was the best match overall.  Dave said "The mySAP All-in-One solution also offered other areas for growth, and is a proven global solution that can help to run multiple organisations in many different territories."

mySAP All-in-One is a comprehensive solution encompassing distribution, warehousing, retailing, publishing and back office finance.  At STL the solution will be implemented at the head office in Carlisle and 46 stores across the country, as well as at 3 distribution centres in the U.S, with over 600 named users.

Looking ahead, Dave expects STL to benefit from the project being driven by a well defined business case, more efficient ways of working and more accurate, up-to-date data.  The mySAP All-in-One solution provides a set of applications that will help move the company forward in the future, comfortably accommodating future acquisitions, as it is a highly scalable solution.  Dave concludes "one of the biggest advantages of this SAP solution is capacity for growth - it won't start to creak at the seams as we grow - in fact, the capacity is probably bigger than we will ever need, so it will always work for us."
