Optrak Distribution Software Limited, a leading supplier of vehicle routing software has today announced a new contract with FTA Consulting, the independent consulting division of the Freight Transport Association. Under the terms of the agreement, FTA Consulting will use Optrak as a key component of their logistics and supply chain service. FTA Consulting is uniquely positioned to provide leading edge transport and logistics solutions to all types of organisations. They have a great deal of experience in providing practical and sound solutions that reduce costs, improve profits and optimise the performance of a companys supply chain.
Optrak can be used for both daily operational routing and also for longer term strategic planning. The quality of any strategic modelling is linked closely to the ability to accurately replicate a companys distribution operation. Creating alternative scenarios and reporting on the most efficient or cost effective options is a straightforward process.
FTA Consulting wanted a package that met their exacting business requirements. Optrak will allow them to reduce the time spent modelling, whilst increasing the quality of the results. It provides the ability to model standard pallet distribution operations and also where companies deliver a complex range of products with variable weights, dimensions and loading rules such as in the construction, oil and chemical industries and white and brown goods.
