Innovate Logistics boosts performance with Manhattan Associates

Fast-growing logistics services provider to implement solutions company-wide

Leading supply chain solutions provider, Manhattan Associates, Inc., today announced that Innovate Logistics has conducted a successful installation of the Warehouse Management and Performance Management components of Manhattan Associates Integrated Logistics Solutions and is now rolling out the deployment to its warehouses across the UK.

Innovate Logistics is part of the rapidly growing Innovate Holdings company, which also owns the Innovate Office and Innovate Property brands.  The company is a leader in temperature-controlled logistics and distribution and operates warehouses throughout the UK.  Innovate Logistics initially selected Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management for Open Systems for its new 145,000 ft distribution centre serving Grampian Foods at Worksop in Nottinghamshire.  This implementation constituted the first step in a strategic upgrade of its information technology infrastructure.  Following the success of this project, the company made the decision to extend its use of Manhattan Associates solutions throughout the company.  The first phase of this process will begin with a chill site near Mansfield, followed by sites in Chesterfield and Newark.

Manhattan Associates was selected for a number of reasons including its solutions depth of functionality, its reputation and the fact that the team was able to get the system up and running within a four month period. Also, Innovate Logistics needed a supply chain solution and, while the Warehouse and Performance Management deployments are a first critical step, it recognised that Manhattan Associates would be able to fulfil further potential future supply chain solution requirements.

Of the alternative solutions, the closest match fulfilled around 50% of our functionality requirement, compared with around 85% from Manhattan Associates, explained Tim Bolam, group operations & development director at Innovate Logistics.  Thanks to Manhattan Associates Performance Management solution, the visibility of our supply chain has improved greatly the right depth of information is now available via our Intranet to everyone who needs it.
