Survey reveals real UK attitude to working in Manufacturing

Avery Dennison has carried out a survey into attitudes towards work and leisure and found that the British manufacturing workforce is the most discontent with 54% of those questioned in this industry being unhappy with the amount of leisure time the job allows.

Added to that, a whopping 75% of us feel we cannot do what we want in our leisure time, due to a lack of funds.

The Avery survey* found that 43% of us work more than 40 hours a week and that if we only had more time and money, 77% of us would like to travel more.

The leading office products and labels manufacturer investigated our workforce's feelings towards leisure as part of its 2006 promotion offering money off leisure vouchers, and discovered that as a workforce, we are crying out for more free time - and more money with which to enjoy it.

Avery's  offer should bring a smile to some faces, as until October 2006 the company is offering 250 worth of savings on various spare time activities. By visiting avery-leisure.co.uk and inserting the code from Avery Jam Free labels, the end user will receive a booklet containing exclusive discount vouchers for  a wide range of leisure activities including hotel breaks, golf trips, days out, flights and dining.

AP Kettula from Avery commented;  "Spare time is precious; with these leisure offers we can provide consumers with perfect relaxation answers after a hard week at work.  With such a wide range of opportunities within the money off booklets, there is something for everyone."

* Survey carried out by Tickbox  in March 2006, amongst a nationally representative sample of just under 3,000 UK adults.
