Established in 1978, COOP Jednota Bratislava, s.d., a member of COOP Jednota Slovakia group, is a daily goods retailer with 26 stores in Bratislava, the capital city of the Slovak Republic.

In 2004, sales at COOP Jednota Bratislava amounted to 64M EUR (95% in food) and the company was N 13 in the Slovak TOP 50 retailers.

COOP Jednota Bratislava has selected the Aldata G.O.L.D. software and U&SLUNO a.s., Aldatas partner for the Central European region, to supply the system for its 3 hypermarkets and 23 supermarkets. After a comprehensive selection process, Aldata G.O.L.D. was chosen as it best addressed and fulfilled all the business and project requirements of COOP Jednota Bratislava in order to improve its business operations management.

The Aldata G.O.L.D. modules Central, Shop and Mobile will assure the key operational issues of COOP Jednota Bratislava such as purchase management including discount and rebate management, management of store formats, promotion control and evaluation, amongst others. The implementation also includes the installation of radio frequency PDA terminals for G.O.L.D. Mobile to enable real-time access to the central system directly from the sales-floor.

Ing. Anna Grollov, General Manager of COOP Jednota Bratislava explains: As part of the I.T. system selection process, we examined in detail system functionalities and the skills of the partner who will manage the project. This pre-implementation study has proved that the new information system will bring our company the advantages of an integrated solution, which will lead to improvements in quality across the entire business operations process at COOP Jednota Bratislava.

The implementation project started in February and roll-out is expected to start in the second half of this year.
