University of Hertfordshire and Rent-I.T. Systems in MRP education partnership

The University of Hertfordshire (UH) and Rent-I.T. Systems UK Limited have entered into a partnership to educate local businesses in the benefits of implementing the 123mrp.NET MRP system into manufacturing and assembly operations. Working in tandem with the UHs existing knowledge transfer partnership programmes, a series of production management workshops has been scheduled to allow companies to not only see where their business could benefit, but also how to avoid many of the cost traps associated with implementing traditional ERP/MRP systems.

The workshops are held at the Hatfield campus and run for half a day. In this time attendees have an opportunity to see the 123mrp.NET system in action, as well as understand how the UHs knowledge transfer partnerships can benefit their business and staff.

123mrp.NET a comprehensive production management system, covering everything from initial estimates and quotes, sales and purchasing, full stock, shop floor control, capacity planning, despatch, invoicing with accounts integration and interfacing options.

The UH has already implemented several educational licenses of 123mrp.NET. Said Keith Bevis, Business Manager for the School of Aerospace, Automotive and Design Engineering at UH, We have ongoing student projects exploring the benefits of 123mrp.NET. We believe it can harness business improvements by controlling the flow of information. We can see the opportunities for using this tool as we support local companies in our Knowledge Transfer Programmes.
