Consafe Logistics and Jeeves Information Systems launches warehouse management module

Consafe Logistics and Jeeves Information Systems have signed an agreement to release advanced warehouse management support in Jeeves Enterprise business system, available from June 2006.

As part of a strategic alliance Consafe Logistics and Jeeves has reached an agreement to release a new warehouse management module. Consafe Logistics has provided expertise and resources in a project that is estimated to finish with a release of a new Jeeves WM-module as part of JE 9.2, available 7th of June 2006.

The co-operation started as a result of a series of successful installations of Consafe Logistics products together with Jeeves implementation partners. A new module designed using the same successful formula for efficient processes, but now developed directly in the Jeeves Business System enables simpler and more cost effective management of installation projects and upgrades without the need for separate system integration. This allows Jeeves implementation partners to work closely with their customers and offer flexible adaptations and development of warehouse management systems.

Warehouse Management is an area that is capable of delivering great business value from better efficiency, quality and innovative service concepts. The traditional image is that larger warehouses benefit from good operative tools while small-midsized organizations will have to do with less sophisticated support.  This is not true. The new WM-module supports a flexible set-up of warehouse structures, new storage/transport unit structures, radio-frequency equipment for task handling and integrated shipment management.

Jeeves customers will be able to shorten order lead times and give immediate delivery promises, introduce traceability on detailed activity and product level while warehouse productivity will increase from paperless routines and better workload overview and control.

Jeeves is being successfully introduced with larger and larger customers that appreciate low cost of ownership and the flexibility for business process changes that is supported in the Jeeves Enterprise platform.
