Show to host almost 40 new product launches covering all aspects of supply chain management

Visitors to this months Softworld Supply Chain & Logistics event (29 30 March 2006, NEC, Birmingham) are being offered the chance to see the latest supply chain management solutions, ranging from warehouse management, supply chain planning, routing and scheduling, and electronic trading platforms, all under one roof.

New products and solutions being launched by this years exhibitors include:

  • Aldata, a leading provider of software solutions for the global Retail and Logistics industries, will be launching its voice technology system, G.O.L.D. Vocal. This will be the UK launch of a solution which provides a complete set of warehouse operations including; order preparation (picking), preparation by splitting and picking inventory, and under voice technology.
  • ATMS plc, one of the UKs leading providers of Warehouse Management Systems, is launching its new Productivity Dashboard module. The Productivity Dashboard is a visual real time tool that allows warehouse managers and supervisors to view performance within the warehouse, and importantly to view the balance of work load across locations and functions.
  • Leading supply chain solutions provider Manhattan Associates will be demonstrating its new range of solutions, which include both supply chain planning and supply chain execution. As its first industry-specific initiative that underpins the companys new direction, Manhattan Associates has also announced its Supply Chain Solutions for Retail a strategic framework to fulfil the planning and execution needs of retailers.
  • The event is one of the first at which MapMechanics will be exhibiting the latest version of MapMechanics Mobile, the system which enables the user to combine powerful routing and scheduling with in-vehicle navigation. Users can automatically transfer routes to the navigation system and the drivers will then be consecutively directed to each stop in the sequence. Signature capture at each stop has now been added to this powerful system which can use hand held devices and VRS.
  • Advanced warehouse systems company Synergy Logistics will be unveiling a new Warehouse Management System. The new system will feature an innovative customer interface designed to make staff and management more productive and lead to faster payback on investment.
  • Target Online is launching TBS, a definitive business solution three years in the making. TBS is a scalable and flexible back office system built to be easy to use and intelligent enough even for the busiest SME to see gains in their productivity and efficiency. It has a  top to bottom approach to business processing which includes sales and purchase order processing, inventory control and warehouse management, to name but a few.
  • TXT e-solutions, a European software company that specialises in demand supply-chain management, will be launching its TXT PERFORM platform for the retail market, the Consumer Driven Supply Chain solution for short lifecycle and highly promoted products. This platform boasts short lifecycle product forecasting and replenishment capabilities, with additional features such as advanced promotion, optimal allocation and dynamic assortment. TXT Perform enhances the integration with Microsoft Office and makes it easier for the exchange of information with other best-of-breed or ERP systems.
  • Wesupply will be demonstrating its OneTime, one connection solution for customer mandates. As a hosted service OneTime provides clients with a no frills electronic trading platform that can be deployed within 30 days and requires no hardware, software, database, integration tools, major internal project team or maintenance.

The organisers are also offering visitors a free cappuccino and pain au chocolat breakfast to everyone that arrives before 11am.  In addition, there will be an email download facility on the showfloor so that visitors do not have to take time out from their businesses.
