German discount retailer re-engineers core systems with Aldata G.O.L.D.

Netto Marken-Discount, a 1,200 store German retailer, is to revamp its merchandise management, ordering and replenishment with Aldata, a leading provider of software solutions for the global Retail and Logistics industries.

Following the successful implementation of Aldata G.O.L.D. for warehouse management, this latest project will see G.O.L.D. implemented for central merchandise management, ordering and replenishment. In addition, G.O.L.D. Topase, the replenishment optimization engine for optimized warehouse ordering and stock levels based on demand forecasts, will be rolled out. The project is to start immediately with delivery throughout 2006 and 2007, with further implementations for business operations to follow.

Netto initially selected Aldatas G.O.L.D. Supply Chain Management software in 2004 as the strategic platform for its supply chain processes. Aldata G.O.L.D., a solution built for retailers based on advanced web technology, comprising central head-office operations, in-store operations and warehouse management, provides Netto with the comprehensive and integrated functionality necessary for its business processes in the very competitive retail daily goods sector.  The warehouse management segment includes 450 voice terminals in five warehouses.
