Denmarks second largest coffee roasting company, BKI Kaffe A/S, is investing in a major upgrade to its central warehouse in Hjbjerg. BKI Kaffe has entered into an agreement with Consafe Logistics for the supply of a Warehouse Management System (WMS).

The new systems advanced computerised control will equip our warehouse to handle future growth without increased expenses, and with better performance than we have today, explains Ib Hauberg, factory manager at BKI Kaffe A/S.

BKI Kaffe expects the new SattStore WMS to improve warehouse efficiency (number of picks per hour), quality (number of erroneous picks) and delivery time, without the need to employ more staff. The BKI Kaffe warehouse is 8,000 m2 in size and handles approx. 100,000 pallets a year.

The new WMS will also improve traceability in our warehouse. It will be easier and faster for us to trace a specific product, should the need arise, explains Ib Hauberg.

BKI Kaffe expects to commission the new WMS in May.

We are very pleased to have won this order, as it confirms our role as a leading supplier of warehouse management systems. Over the last few years, we have received a particularly large number of orders from the convenience goods sector, explains Michael Barding, Sales Manager at Consafe Logistics A/S. Consafe Logistics A/S has supplied systems to Arla Foods, COOP, Netto, Supergros, Carlsberg, Abena, Valora, Tulip and other leading convenience goods companies.
