European Defence Logistics Symposium 2006

Defence IQ is proud to announce the Defence Logistics 2006 symposium will take place between the 20th and 22nd of June 2006 at Le Plaza Hotel in Brussels. The symposium will be a first of its kind to include in depth both national and NATO logistics, ensuring that a key theme within the event will be how organisations can work together, forging forwarding, to enhance joint operational support capability.

The influence of current and future logistical information systems (LIS) and how they will play a large role in the transformation process will be a key theme running through the symposium. Advances in information standardisation, management and exploitation will be explored giving delegates crucial insights into how IT will help achieve the desired future logistical support capability of tomorrows Armed Forces.

The latest advances in technology being incorporated within future support solutions and into national defence initiatives will also be assessed and their implications on the future battlespace discussed.

Key issues currently impacting the logistics industry will be concentrated upon including Focused Logistics, Operational Logistics, Performance Based Logistics, Networked Logistics, Asset Maintenance and Management, Codification, RFID and UID giving participants detailed assessments of what solutions must be considered when addressing transformation and how these can be exploited for total military effect.
