More Than 400 Companies Have Selected Epicor Vantage 8.0 and Epicor Vista 8.0 to Date

Epicor Software Corporation, a leading provider of industry-specific enterprise software solutions for midmarket companies, today announced that its next-generation 100-percent service-oriented architecture (SOA) manufacturing solutions, Vantage 8.0 and Vista 8.0, continue to be adopted by progressive mid-sized manufacturers.  Currently, more than 400 new and existing Epicor customers have been shipped the re-architected Vantage and Vista solutions.

Epicors SOA manufacturing solutions have been selected by companies throughout the United States and across the globe including AB Tube Processing Inc., ACE Clearwater, Arlex de Mexico SA de CV, Elk River Machine Company, Hacel Lighting Limited, Sargent Electrical Services Ltd., The Rooflight Company, Treske Precision Machining and Tulsa Winch Group, a Dover Company.

Featuring an n-tier architecture built with Microsoft .NET and Web services technology, both Vista 8.0 and Vantage 8.0 are completely architected from the ground up to support growing market demand for SOA, which enables businesses to leverage best-in-class software services through open industry standards, thus simplifying application-to-application integration and supply chain connectivity. The new architecture exposes all functionality as Web services, which makes it easier to orchestrate businesses processes and workflows within the application in order to promote lean principles and continuous performance initiatives. It also offers new levels of application reliability, scalability, system interoperability and flexibility, combined with a rich and personalized user experience.

Epicor Vantage customer ACE Clearwater Enterprises (ACE), a family-owned manufacturer of sheet metal products, specializing in complex formed and welded assemblies for the aerospace, automotive, and power-generation industries headquartered in Torrance, Calif., sought a flexible, integrated system that could aggregate and distribute real-time data to users across the entire company for analysis and decision-making.  It also had to fit ACEs business environment and offer user-friendly installation, upgrades and maintenance, and a lower total cost of ownership with simpler overall system administration.

Weve found Vantage 8.0 to be easy to learn and very user-friendly, said King Lum, director of progress at ACE Clearwater.  Lum adds that the applications and clients are easy to install, upgrade and maintain.  Vantage 8.0 is a solid product, built on the Microsoft .NET platform from the ground up its very responsive.

Based on a 100-percent service-oriented architecture, Epicors Vantage and Vista solutions are meeting the need for flexible next-generation manufacturing systems for both new and existing customers, said Rodney Winger, director of product marketing for Epicors manufacturing and supply chain management solutions. These solutions enable customers to rapidly respond to changing business needs and innovate quickly at a business as opposed to a technical level.

Epicor Vantage is a comprehensive solution designed to meet the needs of progressive make-to-order and mixed-mode manufacturing companies.  Epicor Vista is an integrated manufacturing and accounting solution for emerging manufacturers, job shops or make-to-order departments of large enterprises.  Designed to meet the needs of both small and midsized manufacturers, the solutions include built-in workflows managing the entire order cycle: from marketing and sales through production and planning, sourcing and procurement, installation and service, through to financial recognition.
