Pall-Ex is delighted to announce the launch of its latest new product development offering customers online track and trace and real time signature capture.
This pioneering achievement marks another first for Pall-Ex as it further reinforces its position as the leading pallet network.
Combining the strengths of the companys own IT system, Pall-IT with the latest handheld EPOD technological advancements from RoadRunner Pall-Ex is now able to provide clients with full track and trace of palletised freight consignments and real time signature capture further streamlining the delivery process.
The announcement reinstates Pall-Exs commitment to investing in the future follows the successful completion of an intensive trial period with a Pall-Ex member depot which proved the systems ease of use, functionality and effectiveness as a POD facilitator. Pall-Ex had for many months looked for a suitable partner offering EPOD technology and chose transport sector specialist RoadRunner following an extended period of market research into system compatibility with its own IT company Pall-IT.
Over 500 hand held signature capture units have been ordered to ensure each depot has sufficient resources to meet the system launch date of Monday 7th November 2005
In February 2006 the whole Pall-IT system spanning Pall-Exs entire depot network will also become a real time information management system providing immediate notification of in and outbound freight for each depot enabling advance planning of required trailer capacity and routes needed. This groundbreaking milestone takes Pall-Ex to the forefront of the market in preparation for its further market expansion.
