Aspective, the Field Workforce Automation solutions provider today announced the launch of a new system for field service organisations offering converged field workforce management with cutting edge GPS navigation and resource tracking. Based on industry-leading software from TomTom and ViryaNet, the system will enable customers to improve the speed and accuracy of field force operations by delivering real-time task management, resource tracking and navigation information to management and field engineers equipped with wireless PDAs.
The integration of GPS navigation provided by TomTom Navigator(tm) with ViryaNet's Service Hub will enable field engineers to automatically navigate to their next site without the need to manually enter the destination. For management, the system will provide improved resource tracking through real-time pinpointing of current location and this opens the door to more dynamic and accurate scheduling. Management also gain an audit trail tool with which they can replay the actual route taken by field engineers compared to the job sites they visit and this in itself can pay for the system through deterring alternative journeys.
In addition, Aspective's system will dispel the need for field organisations to go down the traditional route of sourcing two separate suppliers for resource tracking and navigation tools, reducing customisation costs and eliminating problems associated with overlap.

Compatible with Windows-based PDAs, TomTom perfectly complements ViryaNet's Service Hub platform, which helps field service organisations effectively manage mobile and distributed workforces through real-time information sharing.
