IBS and Cramo have signed an agreement regarding development of a new rental software solution. Combining Cramo's outstanding rental business expertise with IBS' software development skills, an international software suit tailored to the needs of the rental industry, IBS Rental, will be developed and marketed internationally. The order value is EUR 5,2 m.

IBS and Cramo will develop a new international product aimed at the rental industry. The order value amounts to EUR 5,2 m. over several years and is subject to the successful delivery of a business process review and pilot installation. Cramo, one of the market leaders in northern Europe in rental of machinery and equipment, will replace its current rental system with an integrated application that contains modules for short-term rental, long-term rental, supply chain automation, inventory control, order management, financials and a data
warehouse solution including rental efficiency analysis. The solution will run on a modern and effective service-oriented Java foundation. It  will provide a solid environment for Cramo to build further success, preserve already made investments and give a sustainable growth and excellent return on investment.

With 50,000 customers in 9 countries in Northern Europe and a total of 180 locations with partly different rental systems, an integrated rental platform will be a key driver to improve efficiency. Cramo will bring its business expertise to the rental platform; IBS will gather and
streamline its know-how into a business vertical for the rental industry in accordance with its vertical industry programme. IBS has extensive international experience in developing vertical solutions in various supply chain-related industries. Besides handling high volumes of orders
and transactions, IBS base software has many industry-specific functions that support the development of Cramo's rental business.

Cramo has been an IBS customer since 1996, when it first installed IBS software for finance, inventory and order management. The new rental software will give Cramo a full overview of its rental business, providing a firm and flexible IT platform for Cramo in reaching its
strategic goals of being the leading rental company in Northern Europe.

"The rental business is growing rapidly because industries in general and national and local governments gradually decide to rationalize their sourcing of machinery through various rental solutions. The trend in the market is to integrate systems. A fully assimilated rental platform will give economies of scale and position Cramo as a market leader," says Gran Carlsson, CEO of Cramo Group.

"This new strategic agreement holds a great business potential and ROI for both parties. The worldwide rental market is growing with double-digit figures annually and there is no state of the art software solution available on an international basis, and supported by an international supplier, as of yet," says Magnus Wastenson, CEO of IBS.
