NetDespatch online make-over secures Virgin Cosmetics contract for Transnet

NetDespatch is helping Virgin Cosmetics keep track of deliveries throughout Ireland following the signing of a major contract between Virgin and Transnet, the Belfast-based courier. NetDespatch web services have been incorporated into the Transnet website allowing Virgin Cosmetics staff and consultants to check on the delivery status of their orders online.

Virgin Cosmetics has become one of the leading cosmetic companies in the UK, alongside Chanel, Dior and Revlon. Selling mainly through a network of 10,000 part time consultants who hold make up parties at a home, more than 2 million women bought a Virgin Vie beauty product in the last year.

Through Transnet, Virgin Cosmetics is able to fulfill expansion plans in Ireland, with NetDespatch providing vital system integration and online information to underpin the sales order process. Transnet is one of the premier express delivery companies in Northern Ireland. With an overnight delivery network extending across the UK and Ireland, the company provides an ideal partner for companies who need an instant delivery network that can encompass all of Ireland.

"NetDespatch was vitally important to winning the Virgin Cosmetics contract" says David Campbell, General Manager of Transnet. "They produced the web solution that we wanted literally overnight. The next day we were able to show Virgin Cosmetics a complete integrated web tracking service, giving us everything we needed to win the contract".

Based in Marlow, UK, NetDespatch has pioneered web services for the transport industry and supplies its innovative services to customers as far away as Australia and the USA. NetDespatch allows businesses to become fully web-enabled by adding advanced online facilities to websites. Of particular appeal to courier and express parcel operators, NetDespatch allows customers to book and track their consignments using the online service.
