RH Freight has just completed a partnership deal with Fiege Logistics in Switzerland.
Based in Mnchenstein/Basel, Fiege Logistics, which was formerly known as Goth Logistik-Services has over 420 employees in Switzerland alone and is part of the giant EUR 1.5 billion (turnover) Fiege group, which is headquartered in Germany.
RH will become Fiege Logistics' exclusive UK partner from 2nd September and will be operating several weekly groupage services to and from Switzerland from its hubs in Nottingham and Thurrock.
RH's Operations Director - Andrew Baxter believes that the partnership with Fiege Logistics will provide new opportunities for both partners.
"I believe that our partnership is excellent news for all of our customers," said Andrew. "Together we will provide an unrivalled top quality service between the UK and Switzerland. I am also confident that this partnership will result in a significant increase in the number of consignments that we transport to Switzerland."
Markus Warnebold, Chief Operations Officer of Fiege Logistics' added: "I am delighted that we are linking up with RH Freight and feel sure that this is the start of a long, successful partnership that will be of great benefit to both of our companies."
The partnership with Fiege Logistics is one of several new partner arrangements that RH has negotiated recently. In February, RH agreed a co-operation with M&M for Morocco and Tunisia. In April, the company signed an exclusive deal with Intereuropa to cover the former Yugoslavian states and Albania.
Andrew Baxter added: "Our aim is always to work with the very best independent partner in each geographic area that we can, in order to provide the highest quality of service to all of our customers."
