Hill Agencies selects Sanderson to Automate Wholesale Distribution Operation

Sanderson, the leading UK-owned supplier of software solutions to the wholesale marketplace, has won a contract to supply its Swords solution to Hill Agencies, a wholesale distributor of arts and crafts materials. Hill Agencies, based in the Republic of Ireland, selected the Sanderson solution for its capacity to address and develop processes in all areas of the wholesale business.

By implementing the Sanderson software Hill Agencies can expect to see improvements in each aspect of their wholesale distribution operation. The integrated system comprises a number of key technologies; comprehensive Purchase Ordering, Telesales and Price List Order Forms, Mobile Sales and Radio Frequency technologies, these will automate processes and maximise sales.

The Sanderson software will provide accurate and accessible purchasing information including current stock levels, previous sales data and seasonal trends. Such data was difficult to extract from the previous systems used by Hill Agencies. The new software will drive sales by displaying customer purchase history alongside current stock levels, allowing users to prompt customers to re-order and suggest alternatives for out-of-stocks, thus avoiding costly missed sales.

The Sanderson solution is set to further improve customer service levels at Hill Agencies by speeding up the order process. Mobile Sales Reps will use handheld computers to take customer orders which are then emailed direct onto the Swords system. This minimises order processing time, facilitating swift delivery to the customer.

Streamlining processes with a central system will transform business processes and drive out inefficiencies. The PLOF system will maximise sales potential whilst the radio frequency technology will facilitate accurate recording of received and despatched goods and speed up the picking process.
