Transport & logistics solutions provider, Codeway, has today published a new report on the benefits of its Codetrack system developed for roll-on roll-off (RoRo) operators.
Designed to enable RoRo operators to track shipments and deliveries around the world, the solution utilises rugged wireless hand held terminals. These can be supplied with special features including cameras to ensure key information is captured, such as any damage the vehicle may have incurred prior on route or on collection.
The system enables the dockers to scan the unique barcode on each vehicle to record its status and movements ensuring end to end traceability. This helps RoRo operators to eliminate errors in loading, ensure accurate manifests and prevent customs issues.
Codetrack is not only suited to tracking vehicles. It can also be used to track containers and other cargo.
