Infor, the largest global software provider that exclusively focuses on the manufacturing and distribution markets, announced today that it has acquired Intuita Holdings Ltd., located in Manchester, United Kingdom. The acquisition of Intuita Holdings is Infors first step in providing its wholesale distribution software outside of North America.
Intuita Holdings will join the Infor Distribution Group, which is led by Jim Byrnes, senior vice president and general manager, and will continue to operate in its existing location. Both Infor and Intuita Holdings are privately held companies. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
I am very pleased that Intuita Holdings has agreed to join Infor, said Jim Schaper, chairman and CEO for Infor. As one of the United Kingdoms market-leading providers of solutions to distribution businesses, Intuita offers an impressive customer base, talented employees with a deep knowledge of the international distribution market, and provides the expertise to extend Infors reach into the global distribution market in a position of considerable competitive strength.
Prior to being acquired, Intuita Holdings was a partner of the Infor Distribution Group and has invested heavily in internationalising Infors products. The acquisition of Intuita Holdings provides Infor with additional development resources and international domain expertise. Enhancements to Infors solutions will expand sales opportunities globally by enabling multi-national distribution companies to standardise on a single vendor for their entire operation.
We are committed to maintaining and supporting Intuitas products to protect Intuita customers technology investments, said Jim Byrnes. Moreover, Intuitas customers will benefit from Infors global reach, resources and industry knowledge. We are making long-term investments in product development to continually provide existing and future customers with innovative solutions that evolve with their growth and secure their investment in Infors solutions wherever they are located.
