Infor, the largest enterprise software provider exclusively focused on solving the essential challenges of select verticals in manufacturing and distribution industries, today announced that Infor SyteLine 7, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) suite built on Microsoft .NET, has continued to gain momentum since its launch in 2003.

Since its introduction, more than 450 customers worldwide have deployed Infors extended ERP solution to maintain focus on productivity while addressing increasing internal and external pressures to perform quickly.

Formerly a MAPICS solution, Infor SyteLine offers an integrated suite of extended Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) tools to manufacturers. The system was designed to serve as the basis for implementing Lean Manufacturing philosophies and equips manufacturers to compete successfully against time. Manufacturers rely on Infor SyteLine to provide the enterprise management systems necessary to move forward in today's global economy and manage for tomorrow's challenges.

In the UK, SyteLine7 implementation levels have been typical of the substantial global success of the solution over the past two years. Richard Hudson, Infor Global Solutions' UK Marketing Manager, commented: Between 2003 and 2005 SyteLine7 has seen a 300% increase in implementations. This is testimony to the increasing recognition in the marketplace that SyteLine7 offers positive advantages to discrete manufacturers such as reduced timeframes, increased accuracy of data, increased overall visibility and cost effectiveness.

SyteLine7 customers agree. Jerry Wallwork, Managing Director, Oakland Elevators, commented: Our SyteLine7 configuration gives us significant benefits. The time taken to process a new quotation or customer order has been reduced from days of building the routings and bills of material manually to minutes. The data accuracy is far greater as mistakes have been eliminated, and the improvement in processing time also means that we are able to place purchase orders sooner, therefore reducing our cumulative lead time making us more competitive in the market place.

David Lamb, Mark Webster Furnitures Finance Director, also foresees major benefits ahead through the use of the system: We have no doubt that SyteLine7 will play an invaluable role within our company. Our business comprises three key strands; manufacturing, distribution and importing, and SyteLine7s rich functionality will be highly complementary for each of these disciplines. Our importing arm is expanding rapidly at the moment. In this regard, SyteLine7s configurator will play a critical role in terms of buying upholstery from abroad and keeping a comprehensive record of suppliers. The configurator will also ensure that we keep a detailed schedule comprising the due date from the supplier, the materials ordered and the quantity required. As regards Infors Professional Services team, its performance has been first rate throughout the implementation process, even to the extent that staff helped support our own internal services team when required.

The latest enhancements to the system reinforce the existing ERP platform and pave the way for increased world-class advantages. The Infor SyteLine ERP Release 7.04 continues to instill confidence in customers in todays challenging market places. Arriving quickly on the heels of the prior release, just 15 months later, SyteLine 7.04 features 84 functional enhancements, including:
