RedPrairie, a global leader in supply chain technology solutions that enable business process transformation, announced today at the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) Distribution and Logistics Conference that Longs Drug Stores has purchased RedPrairies workforce performance management solution.
The solution combines functionally rich software, professionally engineered standards and change management consulting for a powerful, comprehensive solution that delivers significant annual savings. Its robust workforce performance management solution helps companies better plan and schedule their workforce to efficiently meet dynamic fulfillment requirements.
After evaluating other vendors, RedPrairie is clearly the best solution for Longs Drugs, says Longs CIO Mike Laddon.
Longs is using RedPrairies engineered standards, based on 40 years of industrial engineering and retail experience, to calculate fair goal times associated with each task. This enables Longs to improve workforce performance based on accurate information and fair standards.
The company is also using RedPrairies integrated time and attendance application, DLx CompTrak, to track employees from clock-punch through payroll. The application provides detailed tracking and incentive pay capabilities that enable fair and accurate incentive programs. These capabilities, in combination with core performance measurement functionality, make possible a broader degree of efficiency in labor management and compensation.
RedPrairies DLx ModelRight application is enabling the drug store chain to simulate how process changes will impact productivity before the solution is implemented. As a result, Longs is ensured projected results and can avoid critical barriers to success.
Access to information and reporting capabilities were other important considerations for the Longs management team. RedPrairies scorecard application enables supervisors to determine trends, impacting variables to productivity and overall performance by employee or workstation.
Comments RedPrairie Company Leader John Jazwiec, Retailing distribution is an industry with high piece pick volume and labor intensive operations. To be able to achieve labor productivity savings of 10-30 percent is a significant achievement for the companies we serve and one that clearly impacts bottom line results.
