Leading Mexican Grain Distributor and Third Party Logistics Provider Gains Competitive Advantage with RedPrairies Warehouse Management Solution

RedPrairie Corporation, a global leader in supply chain technology solutions that enable business process transformation, announced today that Almacenadora Mercader (Almer), a leading Mexican grain distributor and third party logistics provider has implemented RedPrairies warehouse management solution for improved inventory control. Efficiencies derived from the automation are also driving customer satisfaction for Almers logistics customers, giving the third party logistics provider competitive advantage in the marketplace.

RedPrairies warehouse management solution (WMS) provides Almer improved efficiencies and reduces error rates associated with manual environments. The distributor and 3PL is able to manage inventory throughout its supply chain. In Almers case, inventory includes more than 1.3 metric tons of grain across 30 warehouses in 14 different Mexican cities, as well as various types of customer shipments from its 3PL business.

Almer has met receiving and shipping goals and targets since implementation go live in early February. Because they did not experience backlogs or delayed shipments, customers were not negatively impacted by the implementation.
