ACR ALL WIRED UP TO HANDLE NEW TELECOMMUNICATIONS CONTRACTS WORTH OVER 11.5 MILLION!

ACR Logistics is making significant headway in the technology sector having won a series of contracts to handle different parts of the supply chain and value added services for T Mobile, Siemens, Orange and Virgin Mobile. The scope of work covered by the new contracts ranges from the provision of a national distribution centre, distributing spare parts and handling returns to supplying promotions and point of sale materials and equipment, data capture and providing bespoke packaging. The contract wins include:

Virgin Mobile: Three-year contract worth 5 million to provide a 30,000 sq ft national distribution centre based in Daventry. As part of the contract, ACR Logistics is providing a guaranteed next day delivery service on Virgin handsets, bespoke packaging (PUK codes) and is undertaking a data capture service.

Siemens: Four-year contract to distribute spare parts to field based engineers worth 5 million. Siemens renewed their existing three-year contract in July having received exceptional service levels from the logistics provider. The new deal builds on

an eight-year relationship between the two companies. ACR Logistics are now supplying electronic point of sale equipment such as handheld devices and digital printers to high end retailers as well as add-on services such as quick fix and screening and warranty returns.

T Mobile: Two-year contract to handle its point of sale solution worth 250,000. ACR Logistics is currently half way through a five-year contract to provide warehouse services, order administration and distribution for T Mobile. ACR Logistics is now distributing promotional equipment to retailers who stock their mobile phones. This latest move has brought all of T Mobiles logistics activities into one location, making it easier to streamline operations and create a flexible workforce as well as increasing stock visibility.

Orange: Two-year contract addition to handle its point of sale activities worth 1,280,000. ACR Logistics 10-year relationship with Orange has been extended to supply high street retailers with merchandising equipment for in store and window displays. This work is carried out from the same location as the handsets are despatched.
