JYSK has chosen SattStore WMS as its logistics platform for both manual and automatic warehouse management. SattStore will be implemented in Sweden, Denmark and Poland, and encompass all warehouse activities. JYSK want to improve their cost effectiveness and the goal is to create a unified WMS platform for the company.

The JYSK group today consists of over 920 stores in more than 18 different countries and has more than 6000 employees. The company is expanding and investing in the extension of its automated warehousing to meet increased demand. The overall goal is to create a general WMS platform for the group. The project aims to improve cost effectiveness by implementing automated solutions and increase picking efficiency and quality.

SattStore WMS will be delivered to Sweden, Denmark and Poland and will manage distribution of goods from regional distribution centers to JYSK stores and franchises. The project comprises control of automation equipment such as automatic cranes, sorting centers, conveyor systems and control of manual warehouses with paperless picking, optimized forklift transport, quality control and dispatch.

We chose Consafe Logistics for their long experience and high quality as system integrators based on SattStore WMS as a standard solution. We were also impressed by their expertise in combining manual and automated warehouse management cost-effectively. This agreement marks the start of a long period of co-operation. says Henrik Bgelund, Director of Logistics, JYSK

We are very happy to deliver SattStore WMS to JYSK and view the agreement as a long-term vote of confidence from JYSK where we are active in supporting them in their expansion. We are convinced that their investment in a new WMS platform will prove profitable in the very near future, says Lars Persson, Executive Vice President, Consafe Logistics AB.

SattStore handles all types of warehouse systems including storage, picking and inventory management, as well as assembly, scheduling and tracking. SattStore will be integrated with SAP R/3. The first stage will come into operation in May 2005.
