Visionary SYSPRO - Gartner

Gartner the leading provider of research and analysis on the global IT industry has recognised SYSPRO as visionary in its report on the Midsize-Business (MSB) ERP Market*, just published.

The report surveyed top executives of mid-size business-focused application solution providers through a series of personal interviews and a web-based survey. It concludes that whilst consolidation within the ERP mid-market continues, it is still a fragmented market with a large number of vendors and solutions. It also states that Large Tier-1 vendors which have previously struggled to gain midmarket mindshare are moving down to strategically target this sector and have further served to cloud the competitive landscape.

The report says that SYSPRO and companies like it, which have focused and developed for the MSB market, have developed a recognised presence within the MSB marketplace and continue to be innovative in focusing on mid-market initiatives. It is these companies that Gartner describes as visionary.

Pat McCarthy joint managing director of SYSPRO Europe, and managing director of SYSPRO distributor, Information Engineering, says, As the report acknowledges, the Tier 1 ERP vendors have tried to target the midmarket sector in recent years but SYSPROs success has been in its single-minded focus on providing effective IT solutions for mid-range companies for the past 25 years.

SYSPRO is installed in more than 700 sites in the UK and there are over 12,000 companies licensed worldwide; thats a lot of experience installing systems in midrange companies and that experience allows us to be visionary about what midrange businesses need from their systems.

ERP Vendors cant become effective midmarket solution providers overnight by simply repackaging their systems and changing their marketing strategy; Gartner clearly recognises that.
