Manugistics Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: MANU), a leading global provider of demand-driven supply chain management solutions, has announced its new, licensable version of the NetWORKS Transport Request For Quotation (RFQ) solution, which will be commercially available in early 2005.
The new solution addresses additional business needs by providing clients the ability to own and manage the RFQ process and adds further flexibility to the currently-available hosted offering. RFQ is designed to address such industry challenges as freight capacity, as well as the ever-changing regulations and cost components of the industry.

The currently available hosted RFQ solution, as well as the new licensed RFQ product, provide carriers and shippers the ability to reduce both time and cost; improve asset utilisation and demand forecasting for carriers; ensure carrier compliance and have access to up-to-the-minute pricing information, as well as contingency planning information in case of a natural disaster or an employee strike.

A global technology leader in the design, manufacture and customer support of high-quality truck nameplates, who is implementing Manugistics' Transportation solution to plan and optimise inbound transportation of product components from suppliers.
