Whether sitting on a table or mounted vertically in a manufacturing line, Intermec Technologies new EasyCoder PX series of heavy duty bar code label, ticket and tag printers meets the demands of high-performance, harsh industrial environments. The printers are built with sturdy metal chassis and covers and proven mechanics for reliability with an open, modular design that makes them easy to adapt, maintain and service.
Building on the heritage of the famous and proven EasyCoder 501 XP and 601 XP, the PX series brings industrial barcode printing even further. Compared to the XP, from which it has borrowed its basic mechanical design, the EasyCoder PX features a number of important mechanical improvements including 203 dpi print resolution, as well as new powerful electronics. It's even sturdier, more powerful and more versatile than its classic forerunner.
The PX series prints instantly from first to last label at up to 12 inches-per-second, making it ideal for on-demand label printing applications requiring immediate results. Even when printing long series of compliance labels with significant variable data, the PX series prints quickly. The combination of individually controlled micro-step motors, dimensioned power supply, and new sophisticated thermal management printheads ensures high-quality labels every time.
The printers are the first to integrate Intermec's SmartSystem, allowing them to communicate with the SmartSystem Console which displays the status of the printer, provides access to configuration, eases installation of new printers, and assists in identifying printer consumables that require replenishment.

PX series printers, which are designed specifically for easy integration into manufacturing environments, can be mounted in virtually any position.
Up to seven wired and wireless interfaces can be used simultaneously eliminating connectivity restrictions and supporting additional devices, such as an automatic label applicator. The PX series is the latest in Intermec's suite of smart printers.
They're designed to operate as stand alone devices executing user-defined programs and eliminating the need for a PC. The printers can operate production line machinery, including scanners, scales, other printers and conveyor as well as access information directly from the network host. The printers are fully programmable and are able to change with the application as needed, providing additional functionality and continued investment protection.

The EasyCoder PX4i and PX6i feature a maximum print width of four or six inches respectively and both versions are available with interchangeable 203 or 300-dpi resolution printheads.
