HHP, the worlds leading provider of image-based data collection systems, has launched its newest addition to the popular Dolphin range - the Dolphin 7900 mobile computer. Powered by HHPs Adaptus Imaging Technology, it can read 1D and 2D symbologies, PDF417, postal codes and OCR (Optical Character Recognition), and capture digital images and signatures.

The Dolphin 7900 is packed with technology, including Microsofts Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition software for Pocket PCs, an Intel XScale 400 MHz processor, Wireless Full Area Networking (WFAN) with co-located GSM/GPRS, 802.11b, and Bluetooth radios (providing seamless real-time data and voice communication anytime, anywhere in the world).

The new Dolphin is compact, ergonomic and rugged, and is also very easy to use. It is therefore ideal for robust mobile applications such as route accounting, field service, transportation, logistics, parcel delivery, healthcare, public health and safety, and law enforcement.

The Dolphin 7900 is powered by a 7.4V, 14.8 Watt high-capacity Lithium-Ion battery that will meet the full work-shift demands of extended wireless and barcode read-intensive applications. It is therefore suitable for use in virtually all in-transit and in-premise applications.
