Rexel is the world leading distributor of electrical parts and supplies with operations in 33 countries. IBS and Rexel have developed functionality to the IBS ASW software portfolio specifically designed for electrical wholesale supplies. The new system is already live at Rexel in Belgium and Czech Republic. Hungary and Switzerland will be next in the roll out of the new ASW software in most of the European countries.
We have selected IBS because of the functionality of the ASW software range, the specific know-how in our industry and the fact that they have local representations in most of the countries where we operate. The speed of implementation and budget were also key factors in the final selection against competitors. This is a strategic project for Rexel as it will improve our supply chain and sales performance, says Pascal Buchner, CIO of the Rexel Group.
The agreement with Rexel shows the strength of our offering to international groups in selected industries. By offering a combination of sector specific software and a strong network we can make fast and cost efficient international implementations that improve our customers profitability and customer service, says Magnus Wastenson, CEO of IBS.
