Exel will handle the storage and picking of products from its shared-user distribution centre (DC) in Amiens, France. In the US, Exel has renewed its agreement to manage a large P&G DC at New Orleans, Louisiana, and has added a new logistics contract at the same site to support the DC. In Morocco the manufacturer has also awarded Exel a contract to provide national primary transportation and central warehousing/picking services in Tangiers.
John Allan, Chief Executive, Exel, commented, "Three new contract wins with one of the world's leading manufacturers of consumer goods builds upon our strategy of focusing on the fast moving consumer goods sector and engineering supply chains across many geographies. We are now actively seeking ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of P&G's logistics operations in those areas where we have management responsibility, and we hope to grow our involvement with P&G in these, and other, territories over time."
