RedPrairie launches DLx Labour in Europe

The launch of DLx Labour marks the introduction of a series of solutions from RedPrairies DigitaLogistix suite in Europe. DLx Labour has been selected for early introduction because of the spectacular results it has given to our customer base in the US and the resulting boost it has given to RedPrairies growth in recent years.

"Thanks to the increased delivery capacity of RedPrairie in Europe after the merger with LIS, we are now able to offer our clients a state-of-the-art productivity solution. DLx Labour has been very successful in the States, and we are now able to give our European customers the same level of satisfaction," says Martin Hiscox, EMEA Leader.

The RedPrairie productivity solution is not merely a piece of software. It is more an operational management approach, combined with decision support and planning applications. It includes features like resource planning and allocation, goal time calculation, real-time employee feedback, quality tracking, time and attendance, incentives and rewards, web-based productivity reporting and scorecard and analytics. The solution set uses Best Practices and Preferred MethodsSM combined with a six-step delivery methodology to enable the staff to work smarter, thus delivering improved quality, safety and employee retention.

Labour costs generally represent the greatest single component of logistics costs. An increase in productivity can have a direct impact on the bottom line. DLx Labour delivers rapid, proven ROI, and emerges as one of the most attractive supply chain investments. RedPrairie's approach will astonish many logistics specialists as DLx Labour can reduce distribution labour costs by up to 40%.

RedPrairie is the global market leader in advanced labour productivity management solutions for logistics. The DLx Labour application has been successfully implemented in more warehouses and distribution centres than all existing packaged labour systems combined. The system is producing results for many satisfied customers, including Kraft, Toys 'R' Us, Kroger and Sears. A customer survey by the ARC Advisory Group1 in 2003 demonstrated solid ROI among its customers: "Half of users achieve payback on their Productivity Management investment within one year of implementation. This is an exceptional result. ARC has investigated a wide range of Supply Chain solutions and the average payback is close to two years for many types of applications. ARC considers payback in less than one year to be the gold standard that defines a high ROI investment."

DLx Labour can be implemented independently or integrated with other logistics systems. It is fully integrated with the RedPrairie DigitaLogistix product suite, including DLx Dispatcher, the leading warehouse management system in Europe.
