Dorma Group Ltd, a premier provider of bed linens in the UK, has decided to use the Aldata G.O.L.D. Supply Chain Management software to support its retail operations.
Dorma operates 170 concessions in department stores such as Debenhams and House of Fraser, and also provides top of the range branded bedding products for other high street retailers. Existing store back office systems required replacement and Dorma is using the opportunity to put in place a solution that will also be able to replace ordering and Head Office systems to improve replenishment capabilities and production planning.
"Dorma is known for excellent quality and value by our customers, and now we will be able to improve our in-store availability and reduce our costs through better inventory management", said Glenn Albison, Managing Director of Dorma Group. "The modular nature of the G.O.L.D. system allows us to quickly address our key retail requirements, and then to move on to provide improved systems in our Head Office".
Mark Croxton, Managing Director of Aldata Solution in the UK, added "Aldata's G.O.L.D. product is fully browser-based allowing all data and processing to be controlled centrally, and avoids complex software distribution challenges. This is critical to Dorma as they require the minimum of IT infrastructure in their outlets, but also need to increase their overall supply chain visibility and customer service levels. We believe that this will prove to be a very fruitful partnership for both companies and forms part of a rapidly growing UK presence for Aldata".
