Logistics provision today is fast moving and information intensive. Customers seek greater supply chain responsiveness to meet demand and control cost. They need to know where assets are and when - in real-time. In essence, customers demand greater supply chain transparency.
To meet this need, West Yorkshire based pH Europe Ltd have launched the new FinderT Asset Tracking system. FinderT is a highly flexible, real-time, fully automated asset tracking system. FinderT is designed to provide instant location and condition data of mobile assets. Unique in its field, FinderT uses long-range (+100m) radio frequency identification (RFID) tagging as its core technology. The FinderT system combines RFID tags, reader units and monitoring software to fully integrate asset tracking. FinderT virtually eliminates operator involvement in data collection, and automatically updates asset location. FinderT therefore gives users data integrity and instantaneous, real-time data transmission.
pH Europe started developing FinderT two years ago as a Teaching Company Scheme (TCS) partnership with Glasgow Caledonian University. The result of pH Europe's commitment to innovation is the highly capable FinderT system. The FinderT solution is flexible and can be modified to user specifications. Options include checkpoint-monitoring and area monitoring. Advanced use includes triangulation to precisely locate individual assets. Movement frequency, location and destination reports may then be customised to individual requirements. Interest in the system has already been declared by companies in industries as diverse as biotechnology, chemical distribution, food and beverage processing, caps and closures, automotive and industrial parts manufacture.
